Daniel Vnukowski

About

Hailed as “a pianist to watch” by New York Classical Review and “a dashing pianist” by The Sunday Times, Daniel Vnukowski tours throughout North/South America, Asia and Europe. His insightful interpretations of the standard classical music repertory are supplemented by creative projects, which resulted in a sold-out Carnegie Hall recital in 2019. In addition to participating in fundraising projects for humanitarian causes, he has performed many outreach concerts for remote communities throughout Canada and is Artist Director & Founder of the Collingwood Summer Music Festival.

Projects

“Pianist Vnukowski revives music of a neglected composer in impressive Carnegie debut…this assertive, fearlessly virtuosic Chopin style was filled with thoughtful exploration and a kind of questioning illumination. For his insight and daring, no less than his advocacy of a forgotten compatriot composer, Vnukowski is a pianist to watch!”

– Linda Holt, New York Classical Review

“He didn’t simply play. He engaged.”

– William Littler, Toronto Star

“Vnukowski communicates the emotions within the music. I was moved at several points throughout the recital.”

– Myron Silberstein, Fanfare Magazine

“These technically demanding works are played to the hilt by the Polish-Canadian Daniel Vnukowski.”

– Bruno Repp, American Record Guide

“A virtuoso pianist…Vnukowski plays with sympathetic understanding.”

– Phillip Scott, Limelight Magazine

Chopin’s “Heroic” Polonaise! The “Heroic” title was actually given by George Sand years after the work was written, on the wake of the social upheavals, uprisings and political turmoil of Europe during the Revolutions of 1848.
