Daniel Vnukowski joins the New Classical FM family as a radio announcer of the Classical Jukebox.
Access the radio on 96.3 FM in the Greater Toronto Area, 102.9 FM in the Southern Georgian Bay and 103.1 FM in Eastern Ontario – and worldwide via the www.classicalfm.ca website.
Daniel takes your requests, dedications, and plays the world’s greatest music weekdays between 10am and 3pm. He’ll also be sharing his own selections, thoughts, and stories based on his incredibly impressive career as a classical musician.
Daniel is no stranger to The New Classical FM – he’s performed for the station live in Zoomer Hall on numerous occasions, and has appeared at IdeaCity. We’re excited that he’s going to be bringing his passion and knowledge of classical music to the airwaves on a regular basis.

Daniel wanted to give you some feedback on your program. I live just NE of Rochester NY close to the lake and I can pick you up on 103.1 FM most always loud and clear! I listen to you in my workshop, in our computer room and in my car. On a good day I can usually pick the program up some 10 to 15 miles south of home.
Your music, your style and the program is just the best thing to make these troubled times a bit lighter. You have an amazing memory for the classics and in general for the music requests that adds a dimension other stations can not match. I thank you for all that you do.
Possibly could you send out a song or two to my beautiful wife Kathleen. Maybe a couple of Cole Porter’s favorites?
Many thanks for being there.
Joe
We have been listening to this station for longer than I can remember. Just wish you would play more of the lighter classical music, e.g. Andre Rieu and less of the heavy solo pieces
Daniel:
I have been thinking of writing to you since you just joined Classical FM. I was listening to your talk with Kathleen Kajioka, receiving the New Year. You mentioned something like “Geist” and reminded me about of “der Zeitgeist” the creative force of art which at its highest becomes art itself, music, and philosophy and thought itself. Music with its elements of time and rhythm constitutes a very high level of abstraction and requires high level of intelligence. I am being bothered by the theme Classical music for the “Crazy World”. I hope you understand my view: This theme is nonsense and could not come from a musician. The world is wonderful and amazing compared to planet earth where humans can be crazy. We cannot paint the world with the same brush we do humanity. “That” is crazy!
Thank you for the opportunity to discharge this from my chest without fear of offending anyone.
Best regards,
Joaquin Zoque.

What an amazing host, Daniel’s knowledge of music is impressive. I feel I learn so much about music every time I tune in – which is frequently. I keep thinking there will be an exam at the end of the week and will I pass?
Thank you Daniel for sharing your gift.
